Despite my best efforts, and buying just about every home study course on website marketing and traffic generation, I found myself suffering from failure time and time again. I just could not seem to get the amazing results that all the gurus appeared to achieve. I often wondered what they were really doing that I wasn’t.
And then I wondered if these internet “gurus” would really reveal ALL their success formulas to other budding entrepreneurs! I came to the logical conclusion that they wouldn’t! While they do provide several good techniques for generating traffic towards your website, they keep the good stuff to themselves – viz. the biggest traffic generation secret!
The techniques that are revealed by the “gurus” often come with some serious problems.
Take the pay-per-click method of traffic generation for example. With pay-per-click programs, you can indeed attract traffic to your site that is of a high quality. However, the downside is of course you could be paying a lot of money for those visitors. Natually, no-one can absolutely guarantee that these clicks will convert to sales. There is always a danger that owners of competitive sites will just click on your ads until your budget has been spent.
Another often method that the “gurus” recommend is search engine optimisation. Although it is possible to carry this our by yourself for free, the time, effort and knowledge required to optimise a site fully is usually prohibitive.
Article writing is similar to SEO. You either need to spend a long time and a great deal of effort to write your articles – especially if you lack the creative ability. Or once again, you end up spending money to have your articles written for you.
Surely, there must be a better way of traffic generation than these! As a matter of fact, there is!
Here is your best way to generate your web traffic; especially if you are just starting out. Make use of the customer lists of the “gurus”! Instead of trying to build your own mailing list from nothing, team up with those who already have big mailing lists. Be sure to offer a generous commission and you will find that many will take up your offer.
Initially, it can be a bit difficult to convince them, but use a “scatter gun” approach. Contact as many people as you can; it costs nothing to do that, and they in turn don’t have to spend a penny to send an email to their list, promoting your products.
This was the one missing, and also the one most successful method of traffic generation, which all those internet “gurus” failed to mention in all their courses and books and videos. And this is the one method that worked for me. Let’s see if it works for you too!
